Why The Miami Heat Do The Deal 

There is no balance for Miami here. They’re going all-in. 

Why wouldn’t they? The Heat had a disappointing season, but they’re currently up 3-1 on the Blazers. Anyone who watched Jimmy Butler’s recent performance knows he’s got plenty left in the tank. 

By adding Lillard, they’d be title contenders. He’s the perfect compliment to Butler. Lillard is an elite floor spacer who can create his own shot at will. 

He’d be joining Butler and Bam Adebayo to form one of the best trios in basketball. Sure, this deal leaves the Heat without any youth or draft capital.
