Houston Rockets 

This may feel counterintuitive to some Houston Rockets fans. This team is trying to take a step forward next season – why bring in a raw talent like Kuminga? 

Well, those goals are not mutually exclusive. The Rockets could use their cap space to sign helpful veterans and still bring in the talented young wing. They can improve while still prioritizing their future. 

On that note, it’s hard to say what the Rockets would offer the Warriors. They could be interested in Alperen Sengun, but the Rockets may see him as a cornerstone.

Perhaps a player like Jae’Sean Tate or KJ Martin, along with first-round draft capital, could get the job done.

It should be worth the price to Houston. Kuminga starred alongside Jalen Green on the G-League Ignite a couple of years ago. There is preexisting chemistry here. 

The rebuilding Rockets would do well to offer Kuminga an opportunity.
