Why The New York Knicks Do The Deal 

They say a perfect compromise leaves both parties dissatisfied. If so, this deal is perfect: Knicks fans won’t love it either. 

At least, some won’t. Others have been frustrated with Barrett’s inconsistency. Let’s be honest here. The Knicks have been winning in spite of Barrett, not because of him. 

Imagine if they had an elite three-point shooter in his stead. Bogdanovic is one of the league’s best floor spacers, and he’s crafty enough to create his own shot, too. This deal is a win-now upgrade for the Knicks. 

Of course, due to Bogey’s age, Barrett likely has more trade value. That’s why New York is being compensated with a lightly protected future first-round pick here, too.
