Every NBA team is on a timeline. At the same time, that timeline isn’t entirely inalterable, either.
For example, a rebuilding team can make a move in an attempt to get out of their rebuild. On the other hand, there’s a risk involved in doing so.
Specifically, there are no guarantees that they’ll actually be able to alter the timeline.
When a team gives up assets to land a veteran, and they’re still a losing team, they’ve made a bad decision.
Luckily, the Detroit Pistons didn’t give up a lot to land Bojan Bogdanovic. With that said, he was unable to pull them out of a rebuild this season. The Pistons were the worst team in the NBA.
Could they flip him for RJ Barrett of the New York Knicks this summer?
