Why The Utah Jazz Do The Deal 

One thing is clear: the Jazz should avoid getting stuck in the middle. 

That’s where they currently are. This team will not be able to bottom out. On the other hand, they won’t be able to contend either. This deal is partly about bottoming out. 

Some won’t like that decision for them,. The Jazz don’t own their own first-round pick in the next draft. Should they really downgrade their roster? 

Why not? The Jazz are adding two intriguing young players in Hardy and Green here. They’re also adding another first-round pick to their impressive collection.
