Orlando Magic Receive: G/F Malik Beasley, G Max Christie, 2029 First-Round Pick Swap (LAL), 2024 Second-Round Pick (LAC via LAL), 2025 Second-Round Pick (LAC via LAL)
Los Angeles Lakers Receive: G Jalen Suggs, G Gary Harris, C Bol Bol
If the Magic were to trade Suggs, they’d need to be doing so to address another position around their core pieces — Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, and Wendell Carter Jr.
Regardless of which prospects the Magic end up drafting, they could use a veteran shooter. Malik Beasley could help to provide that impact and is only signed for one more season, meaning that acquiring him would not negatively impact long-term spending.
The main appeal for the Magic would be the pair of future second-round picks from the Los Angeles Clippers via the Lakers. Adding more draft assets only helps when it comes time to make a big trade.
In this trade, the Lakers would also acquire Gary Harris and Bol Bol from the Magic. The team hasn’t received a strong impact from Mo Bamba since the midseason trade, but perhaps they could find more success with some of the Magic’s other options.

Harris would bring more of a defensive impact than Beasley while still being a shooting threat. For the Lakers, that could be a better fit as they lean into a defensive identity.
