Don’t look now, but the Phoenix Suns may be in trouble. They could be a team needing to make some changes in the NBA offseason.

The start to their Western Conference Semifinals matchup with the Denver Nuggets did not inspire optimism. The Suns looked outclassed.

Nikola Jokic didn’t even need a big game for the Nuggets to gain a decisive win. Part of the problem was Deandre Ayton’s lackadaisical play.

In fact, Ayton has looked that way for much of this season. There are reasons to believe he’s unhappy in Phoenix. 

With that said, this is a recent number-one pick. Ayton still has tremendous potential. He may just need to go somewhere else in order to realize it.
