On the other hand, if they tanked hard enough, there’s no risk there. The worst team in the NBA finished with guaranteed top-6 odds. The Jazz could ensure the safety of their own selection by shipping out veterans.
That’s part of what they’re doing here. They’re also adding to what’s already an impressive collection of draft capital.
