Why The Los Angeles Clippers Do The Deal 

If Leonard is out for 2023-24, the Clippers are in trouble. There’s no denying that. 

With that said, the Clippers may not want to blow this core group up. This team is low on assets. If they chose to rebuild, they’d be facing a long, uphill battle. 

Why not plan for 2024-25? Leonard should be back and healthy. Sure, this core is aging, but they should still be performing at a high level in two seasons. 

If they’ve got Brogdon on the roster, that will be even easier. This is exactly the type of playmaker this roster needs.
