In some ways, a first-round exit is the worst outcome for an NBA team. Your draft position is already set. If you made the playoffs, you’ve got no chance of winning the lottery.

At the same time, you don’t have much to show for your season, either. That’s the position the Atlanta Hawks are currently in. This team made the playoffs.

Unfortunately for them, the Boston Celtics eliminated them in the first round. Now, there are plenty of questions surrounding this team’s future.

Some have even suggested that the Hawks could shop Trae Young. We absolutely would not rule out the possibility. 

While Young had a terrible start to the Hawks’ first-round playoff series against the Celtics, he did effectively end with a string of solid outings. Was it enough, though?
