All good things must come to an end. It’s the saddest reality of life. Yet, nobody can escape it. Even an NBA dynasty eventually has to crumble.
The Golden State Warriors may be facing the end of their dynastic run soon. At one point, it was hard to say with any confidence that they’ll surpass the Sacramento Kings in the first round of these playoffs. Now, with a 2-2 series tie, anything is possible.
Regardless, the Warriors, who have been awful on the road all season, will need to win a road game in Sacramento to come away with the series ultimately. It’s certainly a possibility that they will achieve that feat. They are the reigning champions, after all. What if they fail to do so?
Moreover, the Warriors are about to get expensive. Frankly, we’d say they’ll soon be unaffordable. This organization can’t afford to keep its entire core intact for long.
This summer, somebody may be the odd man out. Could it be Draymond Green? He’s set to reach free agency, and it doesn’t appear likely that he’s going to be willing to take a significant discount in order to stick around town.
Here’s a trade scenario that sends Green to a team that sorely needs his defensive acumen: the Dallas Mavericks.
