The path to stardom in the NBA is seldom linear. Sometimes, it can be.
We’ve seen players come into the NBA and make an immediate statement. These are players that we know will be superstars.
It doesn’t usually go that way. More often, players struggle for years until they reach their potential. It goes to show that patience can be a virtue.
For example, look at Lauri Markkanen of the Utah Jazz. This was not a player who appeared poised for stardom early in his career.
Yet, he might be on the verge of an All-NBA appearance.
