With the player empowerment era has come unprecedented player movement. Players are more inclined to demand trades, and teams are more inclined to shop players without being able to rely on them to stay in town.
All of which makes Bradley Beal exceptional. Beal has remained faithful to the Wizards no matter what. That’s a rarity in today’s league.
Perhaps for good reason. Beal and the Wizards probably need a divorce.
