Why The Atlanta Hawks Do The Deal 

We’ll say one thing with confidence: it’s time for the Hawks to cash in on Onyeka Onkongwu. 

It feels obvious that he’s never going to jump Clint Capela in this team’s rotation. Meanwhile, Onkongwu has flashed clear starter potential. The Hawks should move him before interest in him wains. 

Moving Hunter doesn’t hurt in this case, either. He’s been solid, but he’s still a poor man’s version of the player they’re receiving here. 

After all, Anunoby is one of the best 3-and-D wings in the NBA. This would be a significant upgrade for Atlanta.
