Why The Charlotte Hornets Do The Deal 

Certainly, this is not ideal for Charlotte. When they selected Bouknight, they didn’t envision flipping him for a poo-poo platter of mediocre assets two years later. 

At the same time, it’s clear that something isn’t working here. When will the Hornets give Bouknight an opportunity? Next year? The year after? 

Eventually, he’ll hit free agency. In all likelihood, he’ll seek a team where he might get some minutes. At this point, the Hornets would do well to get anything for James Bouknight. 

This…is something? Christie could be a solid 3-and-D guard in this league in time.
