Any team trading for Brown will want reassurance that he intends on staying in town. Miami will be no different. 

With that said, it’s not hard to imagine Brown giving the Heat that reassurance. On average, players love playing in Miami. The Heat have to like their odds of retaining Brown. 

They should like the prospect of acquiring him, too. Herro may be a gifted shot creator, but Brown is better. He’s also a considerably better defender. 

This is a player who, at times, looked like the best player in the NBA Finals last season.
