Two playmakers can struggle to play together, sure. Two non-shooting bigs are absolutely not viable. The odds of the Pistons eventually starting both Wiseman and Duren are extremely slim. 

Moreover, the Pistons must like Wiseman. Otherwise, why trade for him with Duren on the roster? If they’re high enough on him, they may want to get some value for Duren before this becomes an issue. 

That’s what they’re doing here. Washington comes to Detroit by way of sign-and-trade. He’s a versatile defender who spaces the floor – he can fit with anyone.
