Realistically, contrasting these two teams points to the futility of making predictions in the first place. 

Just look at Lowry and the Heat. When Miami acquired the future Hall-of-Fame candidate, they probably thought they were acquiring a fringe All-Star. That has not been the case. 

When Lowry appeared to have lost a step in last year’s postseason, the Heat may have attributed his weak production to nagging injuries. That also does not appear to have been the case. 

Perhaps this was predictable. Lowry is 36. Still, there was a sense that he would age well.
