Why The Philadelphia 76ers Do The Deal 

A look at this Sixers’ roster is initially inspiring. Still, it does expose one clear hole. 

There is a lack of vertical athleticism on this team. For a team with James Harden running point, that’s problematic. Typically, he’s maximized with a lob threat on the floor. 

This deal lands him one. Collins is one of the best vertical athletes in his position. If he can return to his previous shooting levels, he’ll be a nice acquisition for the Sixers. 

Meanwhile, Bogdanovic is likely to be one anyway. He can be the Sixers’ sixth man, allowing them to move Tyrese Maxey into the starting lineup on a permanent basis.
