The assumption that Harden stays is the first of two assumptions we’re making here. We’re also assuming that he’s staying even though the Sixers didn’t win an NBA title in 2022-23. 

If they’re lucky enough to weather that storm, they’ll have to make some changes. With that said, this team is low on assets. Unless they’re willing to move Tyrese Maxey, they probably aren’t bringing another star in. 

With that in mind, flipping Harris and a pick swap to upgrade the roster seems smart. That’s what they’re doing here. Bogdanovic looks a little better than Harris this season, but realistically, they’re on similar tiers.

That’s where Burks comes in. This is a versatile player who provides floor spacing, defense and a little playmaking. All told, this added depth ought to make the Sixers a better team.
