It isn’t easy to say goodbye. Sometimes, it has to be said. This can be the case in the NBA, too.
Let’s say your friend got a new job in a new state. They may not have any desire to leave, but they may not feel that they have a choice. They’ll have to say goodbye.Â
Again, NBA teams have to say a regretful goodbye to their players sometimes. Perhaps that player requested a trade.
Alternatively, they may just be hitting free agency soon. For example, Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics will be in a contract year next season.
Given Brown’s talent, few players would be worthwhile to trade for in a potential deal. It doesn’t mean there aren’t any, though.
Could the Celtics trade him for Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat?Â
