This is not how modern star trades usually look. We’re well aware of that fact. 

Typically, the team receiving the star is sending out multiple first-round picks. That’s because these days, trading a superstar player normally means that you’re starting from scratch. 

Does it have to? After all, the Celtics would still have Jayson Tatum.

If Brown is due to depart, shouldn’t they look to replace him with another star?
