Some Lakers fans may be apprehensive about this deal. Why move a protected first for Caruso when they already have Austin Reaves? Frankly, we think it’s a silly question. 

After all, any two 3-and-D players can co-exist. Moreover, the two are not identical. Caruso is the superior defender, whereas Reaves is a little more talented offensively. 

The Lakers could sorely use Caruso’s perimeter defense.
