Why The Houston Rockets Do The Deal 

Ironically, the Harden era in Houston may not be dead after all. 

Plenty of rumors have suggested that Harden is considering a reunion this summer. It may seem odd that a superstar player would join the worst team in the NBA. Still, he seems to have meaningful ties to the city. 

If Harden is coming back, this deal makes sense. The Rockets could flip a switch and get instantly back to playoff basketball next season by acquiring Ingram. 

On the other hand, even if he isn’t, this deal could make sense. If the Rockets land a top-2 pick, they should draft one of Victor Wembanyama or Scoot Henderson.
