Why The New Orleans Pelicans Do The Deal 

There are a few reasons to have reservations about this deal. 

Firstly, it reunited Lillard with CJ McCollum. The Blazers split that duo up due to their collective defensive limitations. The Pelicans will face similar dilemmas if they do this deal. 

Moreover, it’s got the Pelicans getting significantly older. This is an all-in push. Is it one we’re sure this franchise should make? 

Yes. Lillard and McCollum never got over the hump in Portland, but they never had a teammate like Williamson, either. This should be the best offense in the entire NBA.
