In the NBA, there are few things more satisfying than watching a star ascend.
Sometimes, it happens gradually. A player is a lottery pick, they have a decent rookie season, and start to look like a star in their second year. On the other hand, it doesn’t always go that way either.
Other times, a player emerges out of nowhere. Often, that’s due to them having landed in a new situation. With a new role, former role players can sometimes demonstrate that they’ve always had more in their game.
For example, take Mikal Bridges of the Brooklyn Nets. We’ve known he was one of the best 3-and-D wings in the NBA for quite some time.
Having moved from the Phoenix Suns to Brooklyn, it’s becoming apparent that he can be a shot-creator as well.
Could the Nets send him to the New York Knicks this summer?
