Why The Miami Heat Do The Deal
Well, the Heat could certainly use a point guard. Still, acquiring Trae Young may be overdoing it a touch.
Of course, we’re joking. The Heat doesn’t do this deal to simply fill a positional need. They do it to acquire one of the best playmakers in basketball.
That’s what Young is. On the other hand, he’s also one of the worst defensive players in the NBA. Luckily, Jimmy Butler can cover for some of his shortcomings in that regard.
So can Capela. The Heat replace their starting center immediately in this deal while adding an elite offensive player.

That should be worth the cost of a pair of young stars and a pair of first-round picks.
