Why The Boston Celtics Do The Deal 

Surely, the Celtics would prefer to simply retain Brown. This deal is only realistic if they’ve come to realize that isn’t an option. 

In that event, we have to ask ourselves whether this is good value for Brown. We think it is. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have written the article this way. 

Murray may not be a good fit alongside Young. Shooting is his only limitation, and that’s a prerequisite for playing with the ball-dominant playmaker. With that said, he’s a perfect fit alongside Jayson Tatum. 

After all, Murray is an outstanding playmaker in his own right. He’s also one of the best point-of-attack defenders in the NBA.
