In a similar vein, the Blazers should probably trade Lillard in the near future. The time has come for this organization to undergo a complete overhaul. At this point, they are too far out of championship contention to attempt to catch up in what’s left of Lillard’s prime to catch up with them.
Granted, Simons is young. There are some who would suggest that they should hold on to him, and rebuild around him. Possibly, yes. Alternatively, Shaedon Sharpe may have a greater upside as far as his career potential is concerned.
Aside from that, the Blazers could stand to tank for a year or two so that they can add a few more top-notch players.
