That being said, it is hard to say that Detroit’s plan failed despite the fact that it failed so badly. 

It should be noted that Cade Cunningham has missed the vast majority of the 2022-23 season. It is impossible to say whether Bogdanovic would have given the team a further boost if he had been available to play. 

The typical perception of Bogey is that he is a play finisher. Yes, it is true that he is able to create his own shot – he has proven this throughout the season. Then again, if he had been spreading the floor to Cunningham, this team might have looked quite different. 

Even so, it is hard to criticize the Pistons for acquiring Bogdanovic in the first place. In the end, they were able to get him at a low price, and he has raised his value in the process.
