Chicago Bulls Receive: G/F Luguentz Dort, 2024 First-Round Pick (UTA via OKL)
Oklahoma City Thunder Receive: G/F DeMar DeRozan
As a matter of fact, we feel for the Bulls. We really do. As far as the current core of the team was concerned, they surely had higher expectations.
As a team, Zach LaVine, Nikola Vucevic, and DeRozan were supposed to comprise the backbone of a contender, and that didn’t turn out to be the case.
There is no doubt that they have their warts. There doesn’t seem to be much collective defense between this trio of players. Even so, it was expected that they would score more points than their opponents. As of now, that hasn’t been the case.
We are not sure where they are going from here. There is a possibility that the Bulls will host a fire sale in the summer and receive as many picks as possible.
