Why The Brooklyn Nets Do The Deal 

In some respects, this team is tailor-made for Young. 

After all, he’s one of the best playmakers in the NBA – and one of its worst defenders. Young needs to be surrounded by 3-and-D wings and defensive big men in order to thrive. 

The Nets have plenty. They’re not giving any of them up in this deal, either. Nic Claxton, Mikal Bridges, Dorrian Finney-Smith, and Royce O’Neale are all optimal teammates for Young. 

Meanwhile, Bridges is starting to look like a viable secondary scorer.
