Houston Rockets Receive: F/C Marcus Morris, G/F Brandon Boston Jr., 2025 Second-Round Pick (LAC)
Los Angeles Clippers Receive: G/F Eric Gordon
Of course, there’s a reason the Rockets haven’t traded Gordon yet. It isn’t necessarily easy.
It’s not that Gordon isn’t a valuable player. He is. On the other hand, he makes a substantial amount of money.
Still, it’s not that the cost is prohibitive. Gordon is on an expiring deal. The issue is that contracts have to match. Meanwhile, young players don’t make the money that Gordon does.
To move him, the Rockets have to take another veteran back.
