Why The Cleveland Cavaliers Do The Deal 

The Cavaliers have simple logic here. They need Hardaway Jr. more than they need LeVert. 

LeVert is a better shot-creator and playmaker. He’s probably a generally more skilled basketball player than Hardaway Jr. For the Cavaliers, this is about what he isn’t. 

Specifically, he’s not a movement shooter in the same vein of Hardaway Jr.

For a team that’s stacked with offensive creators, that’s a skill the Cavs have a more pressing need for.
