Why The Atlanta Hawks Do The Deal 

Absolutely. If the Hawks are moving Collins, this is as good of a deal as they’re going to get. 

The highlight of the return is likely McDaniels. As a 3-and-D wing who doesn’t expect to have plays called for him, he’s a better fit alongside their Trae Young / Dejounte Murray backcourt. 

At the same time, Oubre Jr. will contribute. He’s a solid backup wing who can guard 2 through 4. He’ll be a good addition to this rotation. 

Yet, in terms of pure name value, Bouknight might be the biggest trade chip the Hawks are getting back. He’s a recent lottery pick who the Hornets have simply shown no trust in so far.
