Why The Chicago Bulls Do The Deal

This is not the first time that the Raptors have taken a chance on a point guard.

This summer, VanVleet will be able to sign a free agent contract. There is a flight risk associated with him. In exchange for a half-season of rental, the Bulls have to trade an unprotected first-round pick.

Whenever we hear this old saying, we are reminded of how true it is: in for a penny, in for a pound. In spite of the fact that the Bulls are already draft-poor, they are committed to winning this season.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could push even further in?  A good way to accomplish this would be to add VanVleet to the team.
