Why The Detroit Pistons Do The Deal
Luguentz Dort is a somewhat confusing player.
If he was a consistent shooter, he’d be among the best 3-and-D guard/wings in the NBA. He isn’t. In itself, that’s not a huge problem.
On the other hand, coupled with his minimal 6’3 height, he makes for a strange addition to a team. That’s OK. He’d still be one worth making for the Pistons.
After all, he’s only 23, and his three-point percentage is trending upwards.

If Dort can find some consistency from range, he could still be the best version of himself. He’d be a valuable addition to this young core in that event.
Should the Thunder really help the Pistons make it?
