Look, let’s be honest here: this trade isn’t a big deal for either side. 

That only speaks to the place of these types of big men in the NBA. Both teams are acquiring bench players here. They shouldn’t be too concerned either way. 

At the same time, historically, McGee has actually been a better rim protector than Drummond. The Bulls could badly use rim protection.

If they want to stay competitive this season, this could be a marginal upgrade for them.
