Why The Los Angeles Lakers Do The Deal 

If the Lakers are going to move Westbrook, this has to be the best offer they’ll receive. 

After all, if a lead ball-handler without shooting limitations is the optimal co-star for James, they won’t find a more fitting one than VanVleet.

Granted, he’s struggled this season, but he’s a much more reliable shooter than Westbrook. 

For that matter, so are Trent Jr. and Porter Jr. These are both great shooters who will complement the team. The Lakers can’t ask for anymore.
