Why The Indiana Pacers Do The Deal

In all actuality, that would be on brand for this organization. The Pacers typically resist tanking. In making this deal, they could ready themselves for a playoff push. 

DeRozan is a good fit with this roster, too. His shooting limitations would be offset by Myles Turner’s floor spacing, as well as the elite shooting of Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield. 

In all likelihood, he’d primarily play the 4 for the Pacers. That’s a position he’s been lining ip at in recent years anyway.
