Why The Toronto Raptors Do The Deal 

At 16-20, this may not be the direction most fans would have the Raptors take. 

This team is widely regarded as a candidate to host a fire sale. That’s definitely a course of action they could take. At the same time, it isn’t the only one. 

After all, there’s plenty of talent on this team. Pascal Siakam is playing at an All-NBA level. Scottie Barnes holds tremendous upside. What the Raptors need is a guard who can consistently generate offense in the half-court. 

That happens to be Young’s calling card. The Raptors would be mortgaging off a fair bit of their future to land Young here. That’s fine.
