When you win an NBA title, you’re supposed to be good the following season. That’s how it works, right? 

Generally speaking, yes. At the same time, you may look a little compromised. That would be a consequence of what’s commonly known as “championship malaise”. 

Think about it. Have you ever had a lofty ambition? Say you achieved it. Are you going to feel as motivated to do it a second time as you did the first? 

If you answered no, you understand what the Golden State Warriors are going through. At 15-15, the defending champions don’t look equipped for another title run.
