It’s a little difficult to say what kind of value DeRozan may have on the open market. 

On the one hand, he’s still producing like a superstar. Generally, the expectation around a player with DeRozan’s statistical profile is multiple first-round picks. He may be an exception to that rule. 

After all, DeRozan is old. He’s also a weak defender and a poor floor spacer. The Bulls may have to settle for a single pick and some interesting young players. 

If that’s what the market dictates, this is a good return. In fact, the Sixers’ 2029 pick is an especially valuable one.
