Why The Houston Rockets Do The Deal 

This would be a bold move for the Rockets. It would come with its own set of risks. 

Suppose Ball spends more time on the injury report this season. In that event, the Rockets will only get worse from making this deal. If they gift the Hornets Victor Wembanyama, it could be a decision they regret for decades. 

At the same time, injuries are a concern for any player. Ball has struggled with health this season, but he still projects to have a long career as a star point guard. It just so happens that the Rockets could use one of those. 

We don’t mean to slight Kevin Porter Jr. Still, the reality is that his assist-to-turnover ratio has been putrid this year.
