Why The Los Angeles Lakers Do The Deal 

If this deal is on the table, the Lakers can’t hesitate. They should be flying a private jet to LaVine’s Chicago residence before they get off the phone with the Bulls. 

They won’t get a more talented player for Westbrook than LaVine. This is an opportunity to land a third star to their team. The Lakers would inevitably be contending following this deal. 

It doesn’t hurt that LaVine is a star that will co-exist with LeBron James. His ability to function as an off-ball threat will be perfect alongside an elite playmaker.

Meanwhile, he can also function as a ball-handler to relieve James of those duties on occasion.

Finally, reuniting with Caruso is no small thing, either. He’s a perfect 3-and-D guard for this rotation. In all likelihood, he’ll replace the struggling Patrick Beverley in this line-up.
