This is not the first time Anthony Davis has been linked to the Celtics. 

When he was forcing his way off of the Pelicans, they were a popular trade destination. With that said, they were a complicated one – Davis’ father said that his son would never play in Boston. 

He must not have heard the old adage – never say never. Since that time, the Lakers have won a championship, only to descend into chaos. By 2022-23, they don’t look like a team with any chance of repeating that feat. 

By contrast, the Celtics have been consistent. They haven’t missed the playoffs and went to the NBA Finals in 2021-22.
