Dallas Mavericks
Dallas Mavericks Receive: G/F Cam Reddish, G Immanuel Quickley
New York Knicks Receive: C Dwight Powell, 2025 First-Round Pick (DAL)
Players like Quickley are the easiest to trade. At 22, he’s young enough for a rebuilding team – but he’s already good enough to contribute to a contender.
Of course, whether Dallas fits that description depends on who you ask. At 13-11, they haven’t looked like serious contenders this season. Still, it’s safe to assume that, with Luka Doncic on the roster, they’d like to.
In order to get to that level, the Dallas Mavericks could use a secondary ball-handler behind Doncic. Quickley could do the job. Meanwhile, his defensive aggressiveness should offset Doncic’s weakness in that area.
Meanwhile, Reddish hasn’t amounted to much in his NBA career. He’s still young enough to turn it around. If he hits his potential, he’ll be exactly the type of 3-and-D wing with secondary shot creation abilities who should thrive alongside Doncic.

If they’re landing a player like Quickley, there’s no reason for the Dallas Mavericks not to give him a chance to become that player.
