Why The Los Angeles Lakers Do The Deal 

If this deal is on the table, the Lakers need to take it and run. 

After all, some have had them moving Westbrook and daft capital in exchange for Doug McDermott and Josh Richardson. No disrespect intended to those two solid veterans, but we’d rather have LaVine. 

In fact, he’d be the best combination of talent and fit at the guard spot that James has had since Kyrie Irving. LaVine, unlike Westbrook, can space the floor. He’d also be a huge asset in transition alongside James’ floor vision. 

Honestly, it feels trite to even justify this deal. It’s Zach LaVine! He’d obviously make this team better, and if he’s available, the Lakers should spare no expense in pursuit of him.
