Why The Sacramento Kings Do The Deal 

Actually, this deal has a lot to do with Murray. 

He is a remarkably similar player to Barnes. In fact, he was a popular comparison for Murray leading up to the draft. So far, those similarities have been easy to spot. 

Realistically, that’s fine. The two have a skill set that can functionally overlap without issues. At the same time, the Kings may benefit from diversifying their roster. 

Brooks helps them do so. He’s a more aggressive perimeter defender than either, and he may be a better shot creator too.
