It’s a little difficult to pick a direction for this Bulls team.
On one level, they could just break up the band. The Bulls don’t appear to be headed for the postseason. Meanwhile, they have enough intriguing young players to justify destroying and rebuilding.
On the other hand, every move they’ve made in recent years has trended in the opposite direction. Changing course now is unlikely to appeal to this front office.
Why not split the difference? This deal has them moving on from an injury-prone player.
